Well, it’s been a while since I put up an update, so here is what I’ve been up to in a few categories:
On personal business (which is first because I guess I’m vain/narcissistic), I’ve been working on various personal projects including getting some quilts ready to put on e-bay, working on making my “shop” ready to make a CNC machine (I built an extension for my table saw, maybe I’ll put pics up), taking pictures of various things (I’ll put some of those up some day), and learning to draw (I think I’m getting better). I should put some of that up too. Lots to do.
But before I want to put more up, I’ve got to finish SiteMaker. I’ve have the Section class mostly done, which is an abstract class that handles most of the back-end work. Once that is finished, I should be able to get finished (or at least enough that I can test it better) without too much trouble. Progress is definitely happening.
In Mac news, I got my copy of Tiger on launch day and it’s great. I especially like Dashboard. I thought it would be a gimmick but it has turned out to be somewhat useful. Right now I have a few widgets: an uptime widget, one that scans for wireless networks, the weather one, Wikipedia, dictionary, translation, calculator, and the post-it note (which are only 25 years old this year). My only problem is that I can’t sync to my PDA. Mark Space (who I’m starting to dislike) didn’t have a fix for Missing Sync for Tiger. You have to wait for their new version which will come out (supposedly) some time in June. No fix, no public beta, nothing. Just leave me high and dry for 2+ months. Not only that, they didn’t both to e-mail registered users to WARN THEM OF THIS FACT despite the fact they obviously knew about it well in advance.
And I’m busy with school as always. But in a little over a month I get a small summer vacation, so maybe I can get some stuff done there (and play some of the video games I’ve been meaning to).
