SiteMaker Fully Useful, MGS 3

May 31st, 2005 · No Comments

Today I made the last update to SiteMaker for a short while. The codebase is usable, and I added a part to specify if the user wants an update or an upload (or both) performed (before you had to hack code to change this). There is still error codes to be written, and other error handling and stuff. And the format has changed to SiteBlogger no longer works.

But all that is OK. It is time for me to move onto the reason that I’ve been doing all this. I started because I wanted to be able to put lists of stuff online easily, and I’ll be using SiteMaker to do it. Before the update it would have taken lots of hacking to add that (and other options like photo galleries) to my site. Now it should be quite easy. I plan to copy the blog code and then modify it slightly to get what I want. Still much easier.

There may be a delay still, I’ve got finals in a week or so. But I’ll try to hack in the mean time.

On a side note, I’ve been playing Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. It has been a great game so far, and I expect it to continue to be. I’ve played the last two games (I haven’t played the old NES era games). The odd thing is that I played MGS 2 first (after hearing how great it was). After that (which I loved), I played MGS 1 when it was re-released on the Game Cube as MGS: The Twin Snakes. Now I’m playing MGS 3. Now if you know the timeline of the series, I played the last first, the origional second, and the prequill last; I’ve played them backwards. But the streak will be broken with MGS 4 when it comes out (unless they make it into a prequill to the prequill, which I doubt.)

In other video-gaming news, I’ve played through Wario Ware: Twisted, and it was just as great as the previous versions. Pick it up. The next games to come out that I care about (I have a list of a few that are already out that I’ve yet to play) come out in mid-June. Since TV is slow in the summer, I use the time to keep up on videogames.
