Since I’ve been mentioning video games, I’m starting Resident Evil 4. I’ll tell you people how it goes. But on to bigger things.
First is my site update. In the last two days or so, I have created a new section (Things I Want) to keep track of neat think I find that I want to buy (realistic or not). It took me about 2 days of off and on work to write all the code for that section. Given how configurable it is and how well it works, I’m quite pleased. I also have put 11 things (mostly Quilts) up for auction on e-Bay. Drop by and bid if you want.
Third, I bought a new camera, the Canon PowerShot S2 IS. It is very nice so far. I love the 12x zoom. I’ve only taken about 20 pictures so far. Most of them came out fine, but I had to shoot them through a dirty window which compromised them (no mater what camera you used). Now I’ve got a new reason to work on the gallery code for SiteMaker.
Last, I’d like to comment on directory Michel Gondry. I watched a DVD a day or two ago of his music video, short film, and commercial work. I doubt it was comprehensive, but it was fantastic. If you watch a lot of cartoon network, you may remember when they would play a music video of a song by The White Stripes (this way a year or two ago, maybe). The thing about this music video (can’t say I cared for the song) was that it was ALL DONE IN LEGO. Well all his videos have a nice visual style, but some are just mind blowing. I loved it. He also directed one of my favorite commercials. It was for Levis jeans, about the watch pocket. In it a teen goes to a pharmacy to buy condoms (this is in the 30s, all black and white). He gets some looks, but later goes to pick up his date, and is met at the door by her father… the pharmacist.
