Ham Radio, Mosquitos, and Waiting

September 9th, 2006 · No Comments

My job has been keeping me busy. It’s amazing how much working 40 hours a week cuts into my TV viewing time. I’ve been continuing to try to get into Ham Radio. I’ve got my radio all built, and I’ve been working on erecting my antenna. Because of work I was only able to work in the evenings. It’s amazing how many mosquitos my back yard holds. Over the course of 4 days I ended up with nearly 20 bites on my left arm alone. The antenna is still not quite high enough, but thunderstorms this weekend prevent me from working on it.

What I’d really like is to do is work on the next POTM competition, but I can’t do that because the new one isn’t up yet.

If you’ve noticed there are now Google Ads here, what can I say, I’m greedy. After having a bunch of people on MySpace taking up over 70% of the traffic this site causes by stealing images, I made that impossible and decided to see what I could get this site to do for me besides give me something to update once and a while.
