Still Not in HDTV

April 10th, 2007 · No Comments

I’ve got two requests by other people to use my camera coming up. When I use it, I tend to take pictures of other things too so new photos may be coming.

But the main reason I’m writing is I watched the premier of Thank God You’re Here on NBC last night. A brand new show in 2007. A show that as far as I can tell only uses 3 or 4 stationary cameras. A show that is still recorded in SD. This isn’t complex. I can understand not converting some shows (like Scrubs, it started in SD), but to premier a brand new show in non-HD just seems… pathetic. NBC. Owned by GE. There should be enough money there to produce a new show (that they seem to want to be a hit based on the amount of promotion) to be in HD.

As for the show, it was quite good, but it was highly reminiscent of Whose Line Is It Anyway, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
