Ninjatown is another game I recently finished after putting it down for a while.
I bought Ninjatown because I thought the little ninjas were cute. I gave a quick glance at the reviews at other sites and saw it was doing well so I decided to pick it up, and I’m glad I did.
The game’s characters are all Shawnimals, just like the little Pocket Ninja I got a few years ago from ThinK Geek. There are numerous good ninjas, and a good handful of enemies.
I don’t think I’ve ever played a full tower defense game before this. The closest I think I’ve come was the mini-game in Final Fantasy VII. I really enjoyed this game. You keep getting new units and powers right up to near the end, so it doesn’t get stale for too long. I only wish I could go back and play the earlier levels with some of the newer units, just to try them out.
While the game starts out easy, some of the levels later in the game can get pretty hard. There is some real challenge in this game. My little sister also bought a copy and enjoyed it for quite a while. Playing head to head with two DSes was quite a bit of fun, until I figured out how to defeat her every time and she lost interest.
